Foster Tepper established Tepper & Associates in 1991, which developed into an established business and litigation firm. Prior to establishing Tepper & Associates, Mr. Tepper was a partner in the national law firm of Shea & Gould. In 2014, Tepper & Takvoryan, a Professional Corporation was formed by the merger of Tepper & Associates and Takvoryan Law Group, APC.
Mr. Tepper is a partner with more than four decades of experience advising, counseling, and representing a broad range of clients in all aspects of corporate and real estate matters, with particular emphasis on the establishment of businesses and counseling regarding their growth and development. As a result of his broad and varied practice, Mr. Tepper has been able to counsel and guide clients through all phases of routine and complex business transactions.
Mr. Tepper also represents domestic businesses doing business internationally and foreign enterprises engaged in business in Europe, Asia, North Africa, Southern Africa and Central and South America, including structuring business transactions for maximum legal protection for the clients’ business objectives consistent with achieving maximum tax benefits under the laws of the clients’ domestic jurisdiction and the jurisdictions in which the clients do business.
Many of Mr. Tepper’s clients consider him as the equivalent of their “in-house” counsel and have appreciated decades of advice, counsel, creative problem solving, and a deep and personal involvement with clients’ legal and business matters, contributing to the success of their businesses.
Mr. Tepper is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Mr. Tepper was Rated AV® Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5 by Martindale-Hubbell in the areas of Business and Commercial Law as well as Real Estate Law, which is a significant rating accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. He was also a member of the Order of the Coif.
Mr. Tepper has been a speaker/lecturer at CEB seminars for continuing education (California Continuing Education of the Bar) showcasing his expertise on real estate issues as well as issues in the area of corporate law.
